July 4th San Diego Fireworks Schedule 2024

Firework displays are our traditional all American way to celebrate our Independence Day. San Diego offers many professional fireworks displays, including some presented by southern California theme parks and local communities. We have one of the most comprehensive lists, and even a google map of San Diego fireworks.

This year July 4th, 2024 is on Thursday, but some Independence day events are held on Saturday, June 29 or Wednesday June 3.

San Diego predicted tides for July 4 2024 - Low tide around 2 PM, rises 4 more feet by 8 PM.

Beach Tides: Just a reminder, if you are spending the day at the beach, the tides will rise during the day. So choose wisely when you claim your spot on the sand. See the tide chart above for the predicted tides on July 4th.

Theme Parks Fireworks Show 2024

Seaworld San Diego - Special July 4th fireworks show at 8:50 PM, and their Ignite Fireworks shows most weekends Friday - Sunday summer nights June through August, and August 31 to September 2 (Labor Day weekend). They currently offer nightly firework shows 10 minutes before closing. Seaworld San Diego also shows fireworks a few select dates throughout the year, such as on Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend starting around around 9:30 PM. Disneyland - Around 9:00 PM for July 4th, 2024 for an inspirational fireworks show. - Most nights at Disneyland California is like a 4th of July celebration. Join in the fun at their "Fire of the Rising Moons" displays around 9:30 PM in Star Wars - Galaxy's Edge. Disneyland park hours vary by day. If you miss the fourth of July fireworks show, Disneyland offers nightly fireworks show at ~ 9:30 PM on many weekends, holidays and summer nights (check their calendar to confirm day and time). Legoland California - July 4th, 2024 fireworks are back. Fireworks typically begin at 8:30 pm on July 4th for their special Red, White and BOOM! celebration. There are also fireworks on limited days throughout the year, including typically after Thanksgiving, around Christmas, and New Years Eve. Big Bay Boom July 4, 2024 San Diego Fireworks Show

This free fireworks show is the largest San Diego Firework Displays in San Diego county. The fireworks displays will be located on 4 barges off of Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Embarcadero and Seaport Village/Coronado Landing. Pick your favorite spot near Seaport Village, Coronado Ferry Landing, North Embarcadero, Marina District, South Embarcadero, Shelter Island and Harbor Island. Free event. More than 750,000 people are estimated to be in the crowd.

Music simulcast at 9 PM on 100.7 FM. Staying home? You can also watch the show live starting at 8:00 PM on Fox 5 (San Diego) or KTLA 5 (Los Angeles).

Camp Pendleton Beach Bash

Chula Vista 4th Fest and Fireworks

Coronado July 4th Celebration

Date and Time July 4, 2024 parade at 10 AM, concerts starting at 4 PM, fireworks can be viewed starting at 9:00 PM. Other activities too. One of the best old fashioned July Fourth San Diego Events. Del Mar San Diego County Fair Fourth of July Celebration

July 4, 2024 at 9:00 PM, and fair. Advanced ticket purchase required as they will likely sell out.

July fourth Independence Day is the best day of the San Diego county fair. Enjoy the fireworks starting at 9:00 pm at the San Diego County Fairgrounds. Reservations in Grandstand area recommended, cost is $20 to $25, and includes fair admission. Buy before they sell out, but of course you can still enjoy the fireworks elsewhere at the fair. Why not spend the day at the fair with rides, exhibits and more at the San Diego County Fair. This is one of the best of the summer San Diego events!

El Cajon July 4th San Diego Fireworks 2024

Date and Time July 4, 2024 fireworks show at 9:00 PM. Arrive early to claim your spot. Kennedy Park will be open for gatherings, but this year there will be no vendors offering services.

Encinitas 4th of July Activities

The city of Encinitas does not offer fireworks display. Why not spend the day at Moonlight Beach Encinitas California, and enjoy one of the many San Diego Fireworks displays. Those visiting the beach should arrive early to claim your spot on the sand, but be careful not to get too close to the water - the tides rise and fall during the day. See July 4th tide chart.

Escondido July 4th Fireworks

Imperial Beach San Diego Fireworks Show

The City of Imperial Beach will host a display starting at 9:00 PM at the Imperial Beach Pier near Portwood Pier Plaza. Those visiting the beach should arrive early to claim your spot on the sand, but the tides will rise and fall during the day. See July 4th tide chart. Julian 4th of July Parade

Location Main Street - Julian, California

Date and Time July 4th activities start at 10 AM, parade and BBQ at noon. (no fireworks)

Join in some old fashioned fun at the annual Julian's Independence day celebration. The theme in 2024 is "Soar Like an Eagle". The gun fight, flyover, marching bands and entertainment starting at 10 AM. The parade starts at noon, followed by a BBQ at the American Legion. Beware of bank robbers and other throw backs to the old west. Julian hosts one of the best old fashioned July Fourth San Diego Events in the county. Enjoy some time in Julian San Diego.

La Jolla Light Drone Show

Date and Time July 4, 2024 around 9:00 PM.

La Jolla Shores and nearby Kellogg Park is a great place to picnic and enjoy the beach on the 4th of July. Arrive very early to find parking and claim your spot for the day. In prior years until ~2017, there were fireworks in La Jolla, but not recently. In 2024, the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club will offer their second light drone show - a 15 minute light show using 200 drones. This will be visible from the private beach club, La Jolla Shores Hotel, La Jolla Cove and Kellogg Park.

Mira Mesa San Diego Fireworks

Annual Mira Mesa Fourth of July evening firework show and Celebration in the Park, will return for 2024, but the day before Independence day. The community picnic is from 4 PM to 9:30 PM at Hourglass Field Community Park, followed by fireworks at 9 PM. Another one of the best July 4th San Diego Events. Mission Bay Yacht Club Fireworks

Ocean Beach Luminosity Festival of Light

Date and Time CANCELLED FOR 2024, POSTPONED UNTIL 2026

The Luminosity Festival of Light on Ocean Beach Pier, instead of traditional fireworks, was a big success in 2023, however it has been cancelled for 2024. The city plans to bring it back in 2026. Spend the day at this lovely beach or nearby Ocean Beach dog beach. Arrive early but be careful to not choose a spot too close to the water - the tide will rise and fall during the day. Oceanside Independence Day Parade

Location 101 Café to the Civic Center (N Coast Highway 101 in Oceanside from Wisconsin Ave. to Civic Center Drive, in Oceanside, Calif.)

Date and Time - Saturday June 29, 2024 from 10 AM – 12 noon

Watch this annual Oceanside 4th of July parade starting at the 101 Café (Coast Highway at Wisconsin Ave.) to the Civic Center. Bring your folding chair for a view along the sidewalks. Afterwards, enjoy the day at Oceanside Beach. Arrive early but be careful to not choose a spot too close to the water - the tide will rise and fall during the day. Oceanside Fireworks

Date and Time - Wednesday July 3, 2024 at 9:00 PM

Watch this annual Oceanside 4th of July fireworks on the day before Independence day. Starting at 5:30, there will be music entertainment, a family fun zone with inflatables, a picnic area, and food vendors. Bring a beach chair or blanket. Old Town San Diego July 4th Celebration

Old Town is Open, July 4th, 2024

Location Old Town State Historic Park

Date and Time regular hours from 11 AM to 4 PM, surrounding part of Old Town. Restaurants and shops stay open later.

Enjoy some good old fashioned fun in Old Town San Diego. Afterwards, you can enjoy fireworks at night at one of the other locations in San Diego. This is another one of my favorite San Diego July 4th events.

Poway 4th of July Celebration and San Diego Fireworks

Date and Time July 4, 2024 festivities from 10 AM to 4 PM and fireworks at Poway High School at 9:00 PM (6:00 - 10:00 activities).

Old Fashioned San Diego Fourth of July activities at Old Poway Park with games, crafts and food. Free admission. Fireworks show will be a 9 PM at Poway High School. Fireworks display costs $5 admission at the gate (children 11 and under free) as a fundraiser for the school.
